NATICK: Rose M. (McQueeney) Pattison, 87, died peacefully and comfortably at Mount Auburn Hospital on Friday, November 6, 2015 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Brighton on February 2, 1928 the daughter of the late James D. McQueeney and Mary A. (Dwyer) McQueeney.
Rose was the cherished mother of Philip L. Pattison and his wife Belinda of Salem and Roseann M. Pattison of Natick. She was the treasured grandmother of Autumn and Paige Pattison both of Salem. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her longtime friend Stacy Hume. She was the wife of the late Philip L. Pattison who died in March of 2011, mother of the late Connie M. Pattison who died in June of 2004 and sister of the late James D. McQueeney, Jr., Mary Elizabeth Gaglio and John P. McQueeney.
Rose spent her youth in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School with the Class of 1946, the first graduating class following World War II. She was a longtime resident of Wayland for over 44 years and most recently resided in Natick. Rose was an active member of the low vision group at the Natick Senior Center and dedicated countless hours as a volunteer at Newton Wellesley Hospital. She enjoyed reading, knitting and sewing for her children and grandchildren.
At the request of her family there will be no funeral home visitations. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Pattison family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
