Richard Amato, 84 of Andover, passed away on Thursday, November 05, 2015 at Methuen Village.
Born in Lawrence on August 5, 1931, Richard was the son of John and Marie (D’Agostino) Amato. He was educated in the Lawrence school system and worked as a supervisor at Raytheon Company. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, and loved spending time with his family.
Richard will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law, Josephine Amato of Methuen and his 4 nieces and nephews, Judy Winters and husband, James of Andover, Paul Amato of Andover, Kathy Amato of Methuen, and John Amato and his wife, Colette of York, Maine.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Richard life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, November 12th, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at St Lucy’s Church in Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
