Obituary

Laconia- James "Jim" E. Lessard 66, of Cotton Hill Road, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a courageous forty year long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Jim was born July 26, 1949 in Brockton, MA, son of Blanche (Lessard) Totten, who was married to Thurman Totten. Jim was a Firefighter/EMT for the Laconia Fire Department for 10 years. Jim was also a real estate broker for Century 21 Keewaydin Properties.

Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping throughout New England, as well as riding his Harley. Jim also loved to swim and was a member of the Laconia Athletic and Swim Club for many years. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maureen (Eardley) Lessard of Laconia, a son, Scott Lessard and his wife Jamie of Newmarket, a daughter Michelle Albert of Belmont and five grandchildren, Brady, Megan, Kelsey, Kyle and Ryan. He is predeceased by his parents.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm using the Whipple Avenue entrance at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 9:00 am at St. Andre Bessette Parish - St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia.

Burial will immediately follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield St., Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society Greater New England Chapter 101A 1st Ave. #6 Waltham, MA 02451.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care that Jim received from his caregivers from Live Free Home Healthcare and Granite State Independent Living. He loved each and every one of them.
