Madeleine U. (Boisvert) Horrigan passed away peacefully at home in the company of her loving family. She was 88. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Medeline (Richard) Boisvert. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Madeleine was a life- long parishioner at St. Francis, where she was baptized, married and served with many groups, organizations and also as an extraordinary minister of holy communion. She also enjoyed a 30 year career with Stop and Shop overseeing the cash office.

The beloved wife of Joseph D. “Donald” Horrigan, she was a devoted mother of William Horrigan and his wife Diane of Lynnfield, Joseph D. Horrigan, Jr. and his wife Susan of Reading, the late Madeleine Mary Horrigan and Denise A. Sacco and her surviving husband Leo A. Sacco, Jr. Madeleine is lovingly survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as her sister, Joan Havey and brother, Warren Boisvert, both of Peabody.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday November 7th at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Friday 4 – 8 PM. Interment will be private.
