FALL RIVER – Jaime S. Moniz age 79 of Fall River, passed away on Nov. 1, 2015. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of the late Margarida (Carvalho) Moniz and the son of the late João DaSilva Moniz and Maria (daTrindade) Moniz. Prior to retiring, he had worked in the Textile Mfg. Industry and was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
He is survived by his daughters: Noemia Camara, Ana Soares, and Grace Machado all of Fall River; a brother: Manuel Silva of Fall River; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Nelia Moniz and the brother of the late Maria Elena and Natalia.
Following Cremation, his funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 9:00 A.M. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
