Lucinda (Raposa) Pontes, age 90, of Fall River, passed away on Monday November 2, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Antone Pontes and daughter of the late Manuel F. and Caroline (Alves) Raposa. She worked in Central Service at Charlton Memorial Hospital, and was a member of Royal Travelers Melody Club.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Thomas Pontes Sr. (wife Rita) of Fall River and Beverly Brazao (husband Gabriel) of Norton, MA, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Alves, Mary Raposa, and Georgie Couto.
Her private funeral arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Tribute Program P.O. Box 1000, Department 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
