NEEDHAM: Barbara “Bobbie” (Boyd) Bradley, 92, of Needham and a former longtime resident of Weston died peacefully and comfortably on October 26, 2015. She was the daughter of the late John W. Boyd and Lucy D. (Davenport) Boyd.
Bobbie was the beloved wife for 71 years of David H. Bradley of Needham, formerly of Weston. Loving mother of David H. “Chip” Bradley, Jr. and his wife Lucy of Weston; Stephen C. Bradley and his wife Melinda of Wellesley and Elizabeth “Betsy” Coughlan of Kennebunk, ME and the late Douglas B. Bradley who died on September 7, 2015. Cherished grandmother of Amory B. Barnes and her husband Eli; Jessica B. Roberson and her husband Neil; Stephanie B. Ade and her husband Chris; Chandler W. Bradley and his wife Lara-Anne; Kelley E. Weaver and her husband Hunter; Christina H. Bradley; Ian D. Coughlan; Christopher B. Coughlan; great-grandmother of Reid Roberson; Hadley Barnes; Brooke Roberson and Parker Barnes. Sister of Lucy “Jackie” Littlefield and her husband Paul of Annisquam and the late Janet Rutherford formerly of Brawley, California. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The most important aspect of Bobbie’s life was the devotion and love of her family who always came first in her life. She graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire with the Class of 1942 and has been an active alumni serving as her class agent. She served her country proudly during World War II as a WAVE with the rank of Yeoman Second Class with the United States Navy. She was a well known and successful real estate broker with her family firm of L. Davenport Boyd of Weston. She will always be remembered for her cheerfulness and positive attitude, her guiding principles and her inspiring love.
A Memorial Service celebrating Bobbie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston.
In lieu of flowers her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Bobbie’s memory be sent to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
