Obituary

Donald L. Blais, 83, a resident of Salem, NH, died on Thursday, October 28, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 20, 1932 in Lawrence to Edward and Aurora (Benoit) Blais. Educated in Lawrence local schools. He served in the United States Marines Corp during the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years for Bell Labs as a Draftsman until his retirement from Lucent Technologies in North Andover. During the summer months he enjoyed spending time in Ogunquit, Maine with his family.
He leaves his loving wife of 55 years Eleanor (Ralph) Blais, as well as his son Kevin Blais of Hampstead, NH and his daughter Karen Roy and her husband Joe of Salem, NH. Grand children: Jeffrey and Johnathan Blais, and Tyler, Cameron, Alexander and Jamison Roy and one great granddaughter: Emily also his two sisters: Eldora Carrien of South Carolina & Shirley Rose of Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by twin daughters.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:30AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH. An entombment will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Chapel and Mausoleum in Lawrence.
