Eleanor died peacefully at 87 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Wallace L. Thornell.
Loving mother of James Thornell and his wife Susan of Woburn.
Devoted grandmother of Jayme, Latorella and her husband Stephen of Somerville.
Great grandmother of Olivia, Jonathan and Stephen Latorella.
Daughter of the late John and Catherine O'Brien of East Boston.
Sister of her late brothers, James, John, Robert, Donald, Edward and Paul O'Brien.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Eleanor was a retired Operator for the New England Telephone Company.
Visiting hours will be held in the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Wednesday 5-8pm.
Interment will be private.
