Mr. Robert Rene Lajoie, 74, of Methuen died Tuesday, October 20, 2015. The son of the late Robert and Anita (Deshaies) Lajoie, he was born in Lawrence, and had been an area resident all his life. Mr. Lajoie worked as a screener at Defiance Corp in Lawrence. He was an avid collector of stamps and coins, enjoyed decorating his house for all the holidays but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Lajoie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara (Staples) Lajoie of Methuen, two daughters; Debra and her husband John Therrian of Lawrence, Robyn and her husband Shawn Avellan of Methuen, three sons; Mark Lajoie and Diane Kipnis of NH, Stephen Lajoie and his wife Sandra of Dracut, and Robert Lajoie and his wife Sally of Lakewood, CA. There are 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
