BRADBURY, Paul W, 93, of Newton Lower Falls and formerly of Brighton died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 16, 2015 following a brief illness. Born in Revere on January 6, 1922 the son of the late Joshua Bradbury and Ruth (Taylor) Bradbury. Beloved and devoted husband for 69 years of Marilyn C. (MacDermott) Bradbury of Newton Lower Falls. Loving and cherished father of Susan L. Bradbury of Natick. Brother of Louise Sheehan of Saugus and the late Jesse Bradbury; Florence Buck; Ruth Heintz; Evelyn Gordon and Marion Mason. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Paul spent his formative years in Brighton and has resided in Newton Lower Falls for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Brighton High School and attended the University of Illinois. He served his country proudly with the United States Army during World War II and is one of the last survivors of the Battle of the Bulge. He was a longtime communicant and usher at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Wellesley Hills. An avid golfer, he and his daughter Susan enjoyed playing in the annual father – daughter golf tournament, as well as many other golf outings, at Wayland Country Club during his 20 year membership. He was an outgoing person and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life and chatted with everyone he met. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and watching football. He was a longtime sales representative in the glass industry with Mass Glass. The most important aspect of his life was the love he had for his wife and daughter and his many family members. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved “Uncle Paul”. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland. On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, family and friends are requested to go directly to Saint John the Evangelist Parish, 9 Glen Rd (corner of Rte 16 and Glen Rd), Wellesley Hills at 10:00 am for his Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
