Obituary

Methuen: Mr. Roland J. Goulet, 91, died on Friday October 9. Born in Lawrence, Mr. Goulet had been an area resident all of his life. Prior to his retirement he had been employed for many years at Malco Electronics in Lawrence. He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. His hobby was building model ships and he was always busy doing odd jobs around his home. Mr. Goulet also enjoyed music, especially playing his organ. He was a veteran of W.W. II, having served with the U.S. Army in the European African Middle Eastern theater, having fought in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Ardennes. He was the widower of Blanche (Shea) Goulet and is survived by a daughter, Roxanne M. Goulet of Methuen, 3 sons, Brian R. Goulet of Plymouth, NH, Mark L. Goulet and Bart M. & his wife Donna Goulet both of Methuen. A brother Raymond “Red” Goulet of Portsmouth, NH. 3 grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Goulet and Mark Hargreaves. There are 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there are no visiting hours. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass to be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am, at St. Monica Church. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
