Obituary

Allison L. (Cahill) Burke, 35, a native of Lincoln, RI, formerly of Boston, MA and most recently of Salem, NH, died at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.
She received a B.S. in Biology from Boston College and an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Northeastern University. Prior to starting a family Allison worked for Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, was a Personal Trainer at Healthworks in Newton, MA and also taught dance for many years at Hazel Boone Dance Studio in Canton, MA. Allison’s passion for dance began as a young child in RI where she competed and performed at various venues across the country. She continued her love of dance as a member of the Boston College Screaming Eagles Dance Team as well as the Boston College Dance Ensemble. Allison also enjoyed the Arts, going to the beach, fitness activities and the company of her family and many friends. One of her very special joys in recent years was raising her daughter and in particular having dance parties together.
She was part of these affiliations and organizations: Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston, Inc; the American Society and was recently named Ambassador and awarded top fundraiser supporting the Brain Tumor Alliance event in Boston.
She leaves her loving husband & daughter Raymond A. Burke and Kenna of Salem, NH; Parents, Terrence F. Cahill, M.D. and Linda Cahill (Szydlowski) of Lincoln, RI; a brother Patrick Cahill and his wife Lisa of Ambler, PA. She is also survived by many additional family members as an Aunt, sister-in-law and cousin as well as many dear friends.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass and to report to the church on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:30AM at St Joseph Church, 33 Main Street, Salem, NH. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, In Lawrence, MA.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home 214 Main Street, Salem, NH, 03079.
