Laconia-----Louis Gorewitz, 62, of Pine Street Ext. passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Louis was born on December 27, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Abraham and Estelle (Zief) Gorewitz.
Louis had a passion for woodworking and was known for his great sense of humor. Louis was a loving person who loved his family, especially his two boys. He took great pride in their accomplishments.
Louis is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Diane (Thomas) Gorewitz; two sons, Alan H. and Benjamin S. Gorewitz both of Laconia; a brother, Stephen Gorewitz, of Phoenix Arizona; many cousins including David Gorewitz, of Boston, Massachusetts; a nephew, Geoffrey and a niece, Alyson and his dogs, Lucky, Nooksie and Marlie.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneu-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia NH.
Shiva will be observed on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 2:30pm – 5:00pm at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia and from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the family home, 171 Pine St. Ext. Laconia. Shiva will also be observed at the family home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 12:00 noon – 4:00pm, 6:00pm – 8:00pm and Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 12:00 noon – 4:00pm, 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
