Albert R. Nadeau, of Fall River, age 67, passed away after a long illness on October 6, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane (Mello) Nadeau. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Hector and Rosetta Nadeau. Albert was a Vietnam Veteran in the Army and was a Sgt 1st Class. He also served for many years on the Fall River Planning Board and was a retired Teamster Driver for many years. He loved to travel and was an avid lover of Horseneck Beach. Most of all he loved spending time with his 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Owen, whom he loved and adored.
Albert also leaves behind his sons Bryan Nadeau and Steven Couto; siblings Tina & Ray Sousa, Theresa & Patrick Barry, and Paula & Joe Souza; in-laws Helen & Rick Kitchen, Jeanne & Dennis Callen and Susan Mello & Ann Simmons; mother-in-law Dolores Mello. As well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Name Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
