Laconia ----- James S. Crowley, Sr., age 94, passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 at the Genesis Laconia Center in Laconia, NH. He was born in Ashland, NH on May 27, 1921, the son of the late Carl and Emma (Tucker) Crowley.
James worked for many years at Arwoods in Northfield. He was known as the "Mayor" at Genesis Healthcare. He always had a joke to tell and tried to put a smile on the faces of other residents.
James was survived by four sisters, Joan Conway and Kay Mudgett of Ashland and Marion and Carleen Crowley of E. Hartford, CT, five nephews, Steven and Michael Crockett of Belmont, Brian Crockett of Gilmanton, Larry Pryor of Canaan, VT and Thomas Pryor, Jr. of Gorham, ME.
James was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis (Crockett) Crowley who passed away in 2009. James was also predeceased by his son James S. Crowley, Jr. who passed away in 2011.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 9 at 2:00 PM at South Road Cemetery in Belmont, NH.
