Obituary

FALL RIVER — Gary A. Jardin, age 65 years, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife Ellie (Smith) Jardin of 44 years, and his four children, Craig, Christie, Carrie and her fiance Kyle, and Cherie Jardin all of New Bedford, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom he greatly adored, his brother Russell, his sisters Janice and her husband Wayne Holmes, Carol and her husband Roger Richards, Debbie Jardin and Cathy Ingraham, and his loyal K-9 companion, Reese, and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was born in Acushnet, son of the late Abel and Mildred (Price) Jardin and served in the U.S.Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He so loved the sea, he became a fisherman and was a scalloper most of his life.

He was loved by everyone and will be remembered for his kindness, unconditional love, and never ending compassion.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 7th, from 4-6 p.m. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., N.B. Gary's funeral will take place on Thursday, October 8th, at 11 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, School and County Streets, N.B., followed by burial in Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne at 1 P.M. www.wilsonchapel.net.
