Winifred "Fran" Laroche, 86, of East Hampstead, NH, died Friday October 2, 2015 in her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA on July 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Raymond and Winifred (Dagenhart) Zahn. She had been a resident of East Hampstead since 1965, formerly living in Georgetown, MA. Fran graduated from Johnson HS in 1947. She married her first and only sweetheart and was married for 67 years. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren enormously. Fran loved to contribute to many charities and always wore her Autism pin in support of her granddaughter Lizzie. Friends, neighbors and mere acquaintances were always welcome in her home for "family" gatherings and she loved to provide the most incredible home-cooked food for all. Fran loved fluffy bathrobes, hats, shopping for a bargain, and anything covered in pink flowers. She always had a tissue handy, even at the beach. On special occasions she wore Chanel No 5. Fran will be deeply missed by everyone.
She is survived by her husband Andrew L. Laroche of East Hampstead; one son, Andrew L. Laroche, Jr. and his wife Debra of Brentwood, NH; one daughter, Raelene A. Hornby and her husband John of N. Kingstown, RI; five granddaughters, Danielle Fiery and her husband John, Nicole O'Donnell and her husband Richard, Andrea Romito and her husband Erik, Rebecca Laroche, and Elizabeth Hartford; her great grandchildren, Luke, Landon, Joshua, Rosalie, and Adelyn; her brothers, Raymond Zahn, Richard Zahn and his wife Carol, Ralph Zahn and his wife Sharon, and Ronald Zahn and his wife Laurie; as well as her beloved caregiver, Penny Flanagan. She was predeceased by her daughter Cheryle Pelletier, and her siblings, Robert and Sally.
Following cremation, a Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, October 6th at 10:30am in St. Anne's Church, Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH. The burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
