Alice Clemons, 65, of Enigma, died Friday, October 2, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Clemons was born January 28, 1950, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late George Mathew & Verlie Louise Owens Hinks. She was a homemaker and was always very outgoing. She loved to dance, work crossword puzzles, and watch “Days of Our Lives”. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda & Charles Chaney of Enigma and Teresa & Danny Simonds of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Candice Chaney & Pedro Conley, Sarah & David Crowe, Jessica & Jimmy Wiggins, and Danny & Ericka Simonds; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Daniel Hinks of Enigma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Jackson Clemons and two brothers: Robert Allen Hinks and George Mathew Hinks.
