Eileen J. (Chretien) Lannon, age 76 of Haverhill and formerly of Lawrence passed away on September 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Methuen. Eileen was born in Methuen on April 21, 1939 to the late Leon and Yvette (Bernard) Chretien. Mrs. Lannon attended St. Anne’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1957. She was a teacher’s aide at the Arlington School of Lawrence. Eileen enjoyed spending time at Cedardale in Haverhill where she formed many close friendships. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, spending time at the beach and traveling with her family.
Eileen was the beloved wife of John M. Lannon Jr. of Haverhill with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of John M. Lannon III and his wife Juliet of Amesbury, Timothy P. Lannon and his wife Theresa of Methuen, and Brian J. Lannon and his wife Jacquelyn of Methuen. Mrs. Lannon was the dear sister of Claudette Paris of Ellenton, FL, Charles Chretien and his wife Marie of Nashua, NH, James Chretien and his wife Andrea of Lawrence, Dennis Chretien and Sue Allen of Methuen, Gary Chretien and his wife Carolle of Salem, NH and the late Leon Chretien. She was the loving grandmother of John D. Lannon, Alyssa Lannon, Josephine Lannon, Jesse Lannon and Kasey Lannon. Eileen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will be warmly received on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church of Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
