Judith A. Waterhouse, of Wilmington formerly of Westford passed away peacefully September 24, 2015, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington following a lengthy illness. She was 65. Judith was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Waterhouse. Born in Lowell she was one of twelve children of the late John and Esther (Perry) Doherty.

Judith was a graduate of Rivier University in Nashua, NH where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for many years as a private consulting chemist in the plastics Ind. In her leisure time she enjoyed volunteering and cooked meals for the veterans in residence at the Lowell VA Home. She also served for many years on Wilmington's Conservation Commission. Most recently she served as Chairperson of Wilmington's Open Space Committee.

Judith was a devoted mother and cherished her role as a grandmother. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she was so proud of.

In addition to her late parents and husband, Judith is predeceased by her brother; Michael Doherty.

Judith is survived by her devoted children, Christopher Waterhouse and his wife Sandra of Malden, Jonathan Waterhouse and his wife Shelia of Salem, NH, Matthew Waterhouse and his wife Shana of Billerica, and Joanne Nolin and her husband Shawn of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Raegan Nolin, Madison and Abigail Waterhouse, Ariana and Kayla Breslin. Sister of Margaret Mellonakos, Kathy Brunelle, Maura Pleva, Elizabeth Moore, Martha Martin, Nora Courtney, Winifred Woodward, Timothy, Daniel and Patrick Doherty.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Thursday, October 1st, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
