Obituary



Gladys Emma (Hinchcliffe) Knott passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on September 22, 2015. She was 82 years old.

Born and raised in Canton, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Nellie (Hill) Hinchcliffe. Widowed at the age of 24, she worked tirelessly throughout her adulthood to provide for her two young children, David and Irene. With a generous heart, she devoted her spare time to serving others and could often be found caring for and providing companionship to neighbors and friends in need.

Loving mother of David Knott of W. Virginia and Irene Knott of Smithfield, R.I. Sister of the late Alice Goode, Irene Henry, and Harry Hinchliffe Jr. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Taylor, Rachel, David, Nicholas, and Nathan, and her great-grandchildren, Sean, Savannah, Elodie, and Adele, all of whom knew her as their beloved "Grammy."

Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Home for Funerals 210 Sherman St. Canton on Friday, September 25th from 4-7 PM Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the United Church of Christ 1541 Washington St. Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
