Daniel A. “Danny” LoRusso, of Medford passed away on September 17, 2015 at Tufts Medical Center, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was 61.

Daniel lived his life in Medford graduating from Medford High School, with the class of 1971. After high school, he did some college. A true family man and amazing husband, Daniel was selfless and loving to all. A true friend of his mother and close buddy to his brother. He was his sister’s closest confidant. Daniel was a strong man and supportive of his son. He was spirited and a lover of all animals, especially those of aquatic wildlife. An artist, Daniel spent his career giving back to the community. He was the sculptor that designed the T-Rex model at the Museum of Science in Boston. A dinosaur devotee, he also developed his own toy dinosaur product line for a company in Canada. Danny was a mentor to aspiring artists and an educator to people of all ages. He enjoyed working with young people to develop their skills.

The beloved husband of Leslie (Cardoza) LoRusso, with who he shared many loving years of marriage, he was the devoted father of Adam LoRusso of Medford. Daniel was the loving son of Christine (Amato) LoRusso of Medford and the late Daniel LoRusso, who predeceased him in death. Dear brother to Christine Poland and her husband John of Lynn and Vincent LoRusso and his companion Marion Martochio of Lynn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews along with his loving buddy Remy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11 AM. Followed by a celebration of Daniel’s life held at graveside, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford at 12 NOON. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 4 - 8 PM.
