Mr. Alfred A. Moreau, of Brockton and formerly of Taunton, died Tuesday, September 15 in the V.A. Medical Center, Brockton following a period of failing health. He was born 68 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Raymond J. Moreau, Sr. and Theresa Gilberte (Moreau) Moreau Beaulieu. He was educated in Taunton and had been a Brockton resident since the early 1970’s. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. Alfred enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton.
He leaves: 1 son: Alan Moreau of Taunton; 2 brothers: Raymond J. Moreau, Jr. of Attleboro, and Norman Moreau of Florida; 2 sisters: Theresa Preston of N.H., and Marion Bratton of Mississippi 3 grandchildren: Jeremie, Renee and Katie Moreau, and several nieces and nephews. Alfred was also the brother of the late Henry J. Moreau and Robert Moreau.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, September 21 at 10:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Taunton, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will be held prior to the funeral, Monday, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
