Frances Clemente

Frances Clemente, age 86, a longtime resident of Wilmington, formerly of Malden and Everett, passed away peacefully, September 13, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. Born in Boston she was one of three children of the late Settimio and Felicetta (Liberatore) DeBenidictis.

Frances worked for many years in catering and hospitality at the Northeastern University Henderson House prior to her retirement. Mostly devoted to her family, Frances cherished time spent with her children and especially her grandchildren. She was always present at all their different activities supporting them and being their number one fan. In her leisure time Frances enjoyed working in her flower gardens and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed the theatre and attending many plays as a member of the Quannapowitt Players Group.

Frances is survived by her devoted children; Anthony Clemente, Karen Sullivan and her husband William, all of Wilmington. She was the loving nana of Lindsey Clemente, Danielle Russo and her husband Robert, Alyssa and Michaela Sullivan all of Wilmington. Loving great nana of Scott Deronde Jr. Cherished sister of Anna Panniello of Everett, Robert DeBenedictis and his wife Diane of Wells, ME.

Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Friday, September 18th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions may be made in Frances' memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th St., 6th Floor, New York, NY 10022.
