Keene--------Marjorie T. Beane, 93, formerly of Laconia, NH and Largo, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Marjorie was born in Wellesley, MA on June 13, 1922 daughter to the late Katharine & Frank Ogilvie. She graduated with honors from Newton High School, and then attended Boston University. In her youth, Marjorie was an accomplished swimmer and violin player.
Marjorie worked at MIT in Cambridge, MA prior to moving to Laconia, NH with her husband Roger H. Beane. During her 30 years in Laconia, Marjorie worked in tax and accounting roles at Dana S. Beane & Company, P.C. Throughout her life, Marjorie was an avid seamstress and knitter – although her primary focus was her devotion to and interest in the pursuits of her family.
Marjorie is survived by her beloved children Donald D. Beane of Southampton, NY and Beverly Beane and her husband, Ed Liebfried of Swanzey, NH, cherished granddaughters, Sarah Beane Ricca and her husband Joe of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ and Jennifer Katharine (Beane) DeLalio and her husband Perry, of Southampton, NY, and great-grandchildren, Colin, Tessa, Catie and Maddie.
Calling hours will be held at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6 – 8pm using the Carriage House entrance.
Burial service will occur at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton Center, MA on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marjorie’s name to Home Health Care and Community Services, Inc., 312 Marlboro St, PO Box 564, Keene, NH 03431.
