Obituary

Patricia A. "Patsy" (Hickey) Yule, a 15 year resident of Whitman and longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, September 6, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 76 years old.

Patsy was born in Boston on September 22, 1938, a daughter of the late John P. Hickey and Mary A. (Lawn) Hickey. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Patsy was very proud of her Irish heritage and calling Charlestown her home. She enjoyed traveling and took great pride of being the wife of a United States Marine Corps veteran. Most of all, Patsy was a homemaker who enjoyed all the special moments in her life with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her siblings and their families.

Patsy is the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Yule, U.S.M.C. She is the devoted mother of Sandra Rutherford and her husband Tony of Newport News, Virginia, Veronica Rosenkranz and her late husband William of St. Louis, Missouri, Christine Currie and her husband Neil of Whitman, Laura Yule and her fiancé Michael Canelias of Brockton, Margaret Yule of Abington, Daniel Yule and his wife Annemarie of Bridgewater, Ann Marie Yule and her fiancé Robert Dykeman of Brockton and John Yule and his wife Sarah of Hettick, Illinois. She is the loving Nana to T.J., Ryan and Andrew Rutherford, Mellissa, William Jr. and Jason Rosenkranz, Colleen, Stacey and Neil Currie, Michael Canelias, Dillon and Danielle Bibeault, Robert and David Pryor, Joshua Yule and her 13 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Ann McGuirk and her late husband James formerly of Charlestown, Robert Hickey and his late wife Catherine "Kay" of Charlestown, James Hickey and his wife Betty of Malden and the late John "Hick" Hickey of Somerville. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patsy's Funeral on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial is private. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
