Obituary

Lillian M. Plante, 92, of Woonsocket died Friday at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Plante.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Armand and Irene (Marquis) Cloutier. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Plante was employed at Tech Industries and previously worked at Bonte Spinning and Tupperware. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by a daughter Madeleine I. Tessier and her husband, Frederick, of Las Vegas, NV, a daughter-in-law Wendy Hackett of Warwick. She was the mother of the late Norman P. Plante. She was the sister of Rene Cloutier, Paul Cloutier, Rev. Roland Cloutier, Olive Turcotte and Jeannine Saumur and the late Joseph “Bobby” Cloutier. She is also survived by a grandson Scott Plante and a great-grandson Scott Plante, Jr. and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at Noon in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 10-11:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish, 1200 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket RI. 02895.
