TAUNTON – Conceicao Freitas Silveira of Taunton, wife of the late Joseph Pinheiro Silveira, died on Aug. 28, 2015 with her family by her side.
She was 88.
Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio L. and Maria (de Norbriga) Freitas.
Raised and educated in Portugal, she moved to the Taunton area in 1961.
A retired folder, Mrs. Silveira was employed by the former Rennie Curtain Factory for over 26 years.
She was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
Connie’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph E. Silveira and his wife Norbina and Orlando M. Silveira and his wife Christine, all of Taunton; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Cory, Seth and Evan; 2 great grandchildren, Kylie and Brady; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Antonio N. Freitas and Maria de Jesus Freitas.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Aug. 31st at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Aug. 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
