In Middleboro, August 27, 2015, Maria (Mello) Leite, Age 84, passed away at her home unexpectedly following a period of failing health. Maria was the wife of the late Joseph Leite. She was born in St. Michael, Portugal, the daughter of the late Manuel & Maria (Mello) Melo. Maria has resided in Middleboro since 1976 and was formerly of Taunton. She was employed at Di-Mo Tool in Middleboro. Maria enjoyed soap operas, cooking, gardening and was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Maria leaves her loving children Carlos Leite of Berkley, Joseph Leite of Taunton, Pedro Leite of Taunton, Eulalia Curley of Middleboro, Helen DeSousa of Middleboro, Albert Leite of Middleboro, Robert Leite of Easton and Rosie Leite of Middleboro. She also leaves her siblings Delinda Camara, Maria DePonte and David Melo. Maria leaves her 21 loving grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Tuesday, September 1st at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
