FALL RIVER…Claudette J. (LaFrance) Barboza, 80, of Fall River passed away August 26th at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center.
She was wife of the late John A. Barboza.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Antoine and Irene (Levesque) LaFrance and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Barboza worked for over 25 years as a Nurse’s Aide at Charlton Memorial Hospital prior to retiring. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, making jewelry and loved doing puzzles.
Survivors include her son: John R. Barboza of Fall River, a sister: Cecil Forand of Fall River, 2 grandsons: Russell Boutin & Christopher Boutin, 2 great grandsons: Justin Boutin & Kayleb Boutin, several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Denise Barboza and sister of the late Antoinette Sasso, Doris Mowad, Armand LaFrance, Robert LaFrance, Dennis LaFrance and Paul LaFrance.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River followed by at Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 – 8 PM.
