Diersing, Margaret Miller, 87, of Forest, Virginia, formerly from Louisville, was reunited in heaven on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 with her loving and devoted family members; her husband, Carl Diersing, AKA The Mayor of P.R.P.; their son, Donnie Diersing; and their daughter, Kathy Diersing Cooper.
She is survived by her devoted son, Ron Diersing of Forest, VA and his spouse, Tony Huffman whom she loved like a son; two grandsons, Rocky Diersing and his wife, JoAnna and their daughter, Peyton; and Rocky’s mother, Vicki Overfelt Thompson; and Chad Cooper and his wife, Sara along with their children, Emma Kate and Eli; and Chad ‘s father, Larry Cooper; her sister, Elizabeth Buckner; two sisters in law, Patsy Panter and Joann Aebersold; Margaret is also survived by her steadfast neighbors, Robert and Mary Nugent.
She was retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Co where she worked in Louisville and North Carolina for 21 years. Margaret was a rock solid person who loved and cared for her family, friends, and co-workers with a strong faith and devotion. Her family truly loved her for the traits she portrayed. She was such a beautiful lady.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Lorena (Alvey) Miller; and 11 brothers and sisters and best friend cousin, Helen Higdon Fey; her father and mother-in-law, August and Josie Diersing, and one brother in law, and two sisters in law. She will be missed dearly and is again with those family members she yearned so long for and fondly waited to see.
Visitation will be at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2:00-8:00. Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, the church which she was a long-time member and loved.
