Obituary

Anthony J. Dzengelewski, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, August 26 at the South Shore Hospital.
Anthony was the husband of the late Gertrude E. (Lally) Dzengelewski and is survived by his grandchildren, Dawn Bridge of Weymouth and Kevin P. Looby of Park Ridge, IL, his sisters Frances Ferrala of Bangor, ME and Helen Hornsby of Revere and his Son-in-law Peter Looby of Weymouth. He also leaves four great grandchildren. Tony is predeceased by his daughter, Sandra A. Looby, his sister, Sophie Gramm and his brothers, Walter Dzengelewski and Stanley Dzengelewski.
Tony was born in Boston and lived in Revere and Dorchester before moving to Weymouth 66 years ago. He attended Revere High School and Aerial Navigator in TX and was Director of Logistics for U.S. Customs at the Regional Headquarters in Boston for 30 years before his retirement in 1974. Anthony served his Country as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army from 1943 to 1946 and was a member of NARFE.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Sunday, August 30 from 4-7 pm and funeral service in the Funeral Home on Monday at 11:30 am. Interment will immediately follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
