Agnes R. (McMahon) Bohne, age 88 of Methuen passed away August 26, 2015. Agnes was born in Lawrence on June 17, 1927 to the late Frederick and Emily (Tischler) McMahon. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1945. Prior to its closing, Mrs. Bohne was a lifelong communicant of Mt. Carmel Church of Methuen. Agnes was longtime cafeteria worker at Methuen High School. She was a life member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Arnold Greenwood Post #8349 a member of the Queen City #2 D.A.V., and a member of the Methuen Public Retirees Association. Agnes enjoyed bingo, keno and trips to Foxwoods.
Agnes was the loving wife of the late Raymond Bohne with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Joseph Bohne and his wife Sandy of Salem, NH, James Bohne and his wife Karen of Methuen, Dennis Bohne of Lawrence, Diane Chretien of Methuen, Marie Goulet of Methuen, Elaine Shearn and her husband Dan of Milton, NH, and Corinne McGuire of Delmar, NY. Agnes was the dear sister of William McMahon and his wife Lorraine of North Andover, Dorothy Darling of Schenectady, NY, Eileen Welch and her husband William of CA, the late Lillian Vanderspurt, the late James McMahon, and the late Edward McMahon. She was the beloved grandmother of 15 and cherished great grandmother of 10. Agnes is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 9:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
