Maria C. Costa, age 72, of Fall River, passed away on August 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joao Nasciso Costa. Born in Feteiras, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Domingos and Ana (Viveiros) Reis. Maria was a former owner of Reis Bakery for 25 years.
Maria leaves behind her daughters Lucia Cordeiro (husband Steven) and Esmeralda Diogo (husband John); siblings Manuel, Antonio, Jose and Mario Reis, Margarida Pavao, Maria Lourdes and Otilia Matos; grandchildren Johnathan, Jocelyn, Chelsea and Matthew, as well as 2 great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Cross Chapel at St. Peter & Paul at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
