Obituary

Stanley W. Byerly, 75, of Windham, NH, went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2015 in Hudson, NH. Born in Milltown, IN on August 17, 1939, a son of Paul Byerly and Olive (Denton) Byerly.
Raised in Marengo, IN he was the first in his family to go to college, graduating from the University of Indiana-Bloomington with a degree in Finance and Business Administration. Later, he earned an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. He was married to his wife Barbara (Russell) Byerly for 48 years. He lived most of his adult life in New England including MA, NH and RI. During his career he held a variety of executive financial and general management positions with manufacturing companies, including New England Confectionary Company (NECCO) until his retirement in 2004.
Mr. Byerly accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1980 and was baptized on April 27, 1980 at North Stonington Baptist Church in CT. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Litchfield, NH. He was a devoted husband, a supportive father and an avid sports fan. He cared many years for his wife while she struggled with Alzheimers and loved to attend events that involved his grandchildren.
Mr. Byerly is survived by his wife, Barbara May Byerly of Hudson, NH; his daughter, Pamela Tegan of Derry, NH; his sons, Scott Byerly and his wife Lisa of Salem, NH and Michael Byerly and his wife Terri of Londonderry, NH; his sisters Anita Easter of Marengo, IN and Rita Nicholson of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren Faith, Benjamin, Meredith and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in 1977, his mother in 1986 and his brother John P. Byerly in 2012.
Calling hours were held on Friday, August 28th from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 29th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Committal services immediately followed in the New Cemetery on the Plains, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter, 166 River Road- Suite 210, Bedford, NH 03110
