Ana Mendes (80) of Brockton died August 24th in the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. She was the wife of the late Luis Pires Miranda.
She was born in Mosterios, Fogo, Cape Verde daughter of the late Lia Mendes. Ana resided in Brockton since 1998 coming from Cape Verde. She was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish and loved to cook for family and friends.
Survivors include 1 son, Paulino of Cape Verde, 7 daughters. Olivia, Martina and Domingas all of Brockton, Luisa, Maria, Elizabeth and Paulmira all of Cape Verde. Many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday August 29th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Friday August 28th from 5-9 pm.
