BARNARD, Richard G., 74, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Geraldine Barnard; and daughter Susan Anne Barnard. Richard was the former Executive Vice President/ Treasurer of GTR Manufacturing Corp in Brockton. He was also a former President of the Institute of Management Accountants-Mass. Route 128 Chapter. He enjoyed golf and played several times a week prior to his illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nola (Connolly); a son Richard Barnard (Carol) of Jacksonville, FL and two daughters; Debra Hickey of Wareham, MA and Sheryl McDonough (Michael) of St. Petersburg, FL; four grandchildren, Jessica and Benjamin Barnard, and Lynn and Megan McDonough; brother and sister in law, Thomas (Louise) Barnard of Brockton, brother Frederick Barnard of Holbrook, and sister in law Debra Barnard of Bridgewater; sister and brother in law Evelyn (Ronald) Johnson of Yarmouth, MA and sister in law Ann Maguire of Myrtle Beach, SC; along with many beloved nephews, nieces, close family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 29th at Christ the King Church in Brockton, MA followed by internment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Lung Association.
