MEEHAN, Harry O. Jr. Of Jamaica Plain, August 22, 2015 after long valiant battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Kathleen F. (O'Shea) Meehan and the late Pauline (Dailey) Meehan. Devoted father of Harry O. Meehan and his wife Norma J. of Nashua NH and Pauline K. Parent and her husband David of Merrimack NH. Also survived by two other daughters. Grandfather of Lauren J. Machos of Apex NC, Ashley J. Meehan of Methuen, Capt. Jonathan H. Meehan of Los Angeles CA, and Mikayla K. Parent of Merrimack NH. Also survived by 6 other grandchildren. Great-grandfather of Luke, Evan, and Kailee. Also survived by 3 other great grandchildren.
Harry was a retired employee of the Boston Edison where he worked for 45 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran and member of the West Roxbury Elks and was a Mason for many years. Former Chairman of the Tri-City Mental Health Assoc. and avid golfer and distance runner.
Funeral Service in the P.E. Murray - FJ Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St, WEST ROXBURY, Wednesday, August 26 at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting Hours Tuesday, August 25 from 4-8pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury.
