Obituary

WEBSTER – Leo F. Beaulac, 88, formerly of Webster, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Brookdale Assisted Living, Dublin, PA with his family at his side. His wife of 56 years, Kathleen L. (Meagher) Beaulac, died in 2004.
He leaves his daughter, Lou Ellen Fillinich and her husband Paul of Upper Gwynedd, PA; a granddaughter, Amy Herm and her husband Gregory of East Norriton, PA; 3 great-grandchildren, Kylie, Lucas and Samantha; a sister, Florence Pieper of Shelton, CT; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Henry Beaulac.
He was born in Thompson, CT and raised in North Grosvenordale, son of the late Philip and Helen (Duszlak) Beaulac. He moved to Webster in 1948 at the time of his marriage and then to Pennsylvania in 2011. He graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale in 1945. He was elected president of the student council for 2 years and was also awarded the Bausch & Lomb Science Award at his graduation.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Beaulac first worked at the Cluett-Peabody Mill in North Grosvenordale. He was then a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in Webster for 31 years before he retired.
He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He enjoyed golfing, playing baseball and making people laugh.
The funeral will be held Thursday, August 27, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, in the funeral home.
