Obituary

Charles F. Nyhan, Jr., “Chuck”,72, of Lawrence and Delray Beach, Fla., and formerly of North Truro, Mass., passed away after a brief illness on August 20, 2015, at the Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla., surrounded by his
loving family. Chuck was born on February 1, 1943, in Lawrence, to the late Charles F. Nyhan, Sr., and Mary (Buckley) Nyhan.
Chuck was educated at St. Patrick Grammar School, graduated from Central Catholic High School, and attended Merrimack College. He was an attendant of St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence, St. Peter’s Church in Provincetown,
and St. Vincent Ferrer of Delray Beach, Fla. Chuck had worked in the hotel business most of his life. He worked at the Andover Inn, Killington Lodge, Vt.,
Lighthouse Inn, West Dennis,and up until his retirement in 2013, he was part owner and manager of the Seascape Motor Inn in North Truro, Mass. Chuck served as president of the North Truro Chamber of Commerce and was on the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He enjoyed and was very proud
of his Irish heritage. He loved Irish music. His love of the beach was evident, whether it be Salisbury Beach, Olde Cape Cod, or Florida.
Chuck is survived by his family, who will miss him very much. They include his three sisters, Sheila Marie Nyhan of
Delray Beach, Fla., Mary Ellen and her husband, Donald Pelletier of Lawrence, Anne-Marie and her husband, Tim Doherty of Lawrence; brother,John Nyhan and his wife, Pamela of Hampton, N.H.; uncle,
Joseph Donald Nyhan and his wife, Patricia of Delray Beach,Fla.; aunts, Jean Buckley of Lawrence, and Barbara Nyhan of Florida; nieces and nephews,
Donald and Chloe Pelletier,Jess and Mandy DeFabrizio, Julie and Rob Fiore and Emilie, Gianna, Isabella and
Jake, John Michael Pelletier,Christina, Taylor and Ryan Edler, Brian, Erin and Scott Doherty, Michael Hall, Kristen
and Rich Doherty and Ben, Lauren and Ryan, Jonathan Nyhan; and several cousins and friends.
