Obituary

Mr. George L. Garon, 71, of Methuen, died August 21, 2015 in Mashantucket, CT. Born in Lawrence, Mr. Garon has been an area resident all his life. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Garon was former parishioner of St. Mary Parish. He was the owner of the Colonial Lounge on Broadway in Lawrence. Mr. Garon founded the Merrimack Valley 45's league, was a member of the Arlington Club and the British Club. Mr. Garon was pre-deceased by a sister Claire Kohnken and two brothers Russell and William Garon. He is survived by one sister; Eileen and her husband Tim Pellegrino of Derry, NH, two brothers; Ronald Garon and his wife Roberta of Dracut, and Michael Garon and his wife Cheryl of Atkinson, NH. There are several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut 978-683-2706.
