Manuel M. Medeiros, age 81, passed away on August 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband to the late Maria (Bettencourt) Medeiros. Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Joe and Maria (Carvalho) Medeiros. Manuel played in the Our Lady of Light and Açoreana Band for many years. He was very handy man, loved gardening and enjoyed making his own wine.
Manuel leaves behind his sons Manuel, Joe, George, Herman, Mario and Carlos Medeiros; grandchildren Julie, Bethany, Jared and Nicholas Medeiros; as well as many siblings.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patricks Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
