Obituary

MILFORD: Anne C. MacDonald, age 84, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, surrounded by family at Blaire House of Milford, her home for the past year and a half.

Born and raised in Natick, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Celia (Cournoyer) MacDonald. One of seven children, Anne loved being part of a large family and her parochial school education. As with her siblings, she received the Sacraments of the church at their home parish of Saint Patrick.

Anne married and settled in Framingham to start a family of her own. She became employed with the Fenwal Corporation assembling electronics and later moved into the inspection quality control area. Anne had lived briefly in Shrewsbury prior to moving to Milford 15 years ago. In Milford she was employed with the Waters Company until her retirement. Anne enjoyed travel, whether visiting her sister in Maine, touring Hawaii, or participating in various parish sponsored trips. Her happiest time was spent in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Anne is survived by a son, Albert “David” Bergeron of Colorado; three daughters, Judith McGuire and her husband James of Milford, Susan Ross of Vermont, and Patricia Bergeron of Milford; six grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph McGuire, Frederick and Christopher Ross, Rebecca Medina, and Jason Metivier; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence “Paul” MacDonald and his wife Helen of Hubbardston; her sister, Marie T. Nichols and her husband Ernest of Holliston; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Virginia I. Haskell, Francis “Jerry”, David T., and James E. MacDonald.

Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Monday, August 24th at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Sunday 2 – 4PM. Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
