Martin Conserva

Martin B. Conserva, age 89, of Humarock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19th at Life Care Center of Scituate, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Martin A. and Jennie (Bonfrate) Conserva.

Raised in Medford, he attended local schools. A veteran, Martin was honorably discharged from the US Navy, having proudly served on the USS John M. Bermingham, during WWII. In 1948, he graduated from the North Bennett School and was part of the first graduating class of Piano Tuning and Repair. Martin was the owner of the Broadway Piano Exchange of Medford. A dedicated member to his community, he served as the past president of the Medford Kiwanis, past president of the Medford Chamber of Commerce and the past president of the Humarock Community Club. He was also a past member of the Volunteer Yacht Club, Marshfield Yacht Club, Melrose Fish and Game, NRA and the Marshfield VFW. Martin was a family man and loved spending quality time on the beach as well as fishing on his boat with the ones he loved most.

The beloved husband of Louise K. (Anderson) with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, he was the devoted father of Cheryl Trzcinski and her husband Leo of FL, Gary Conserva and his wife Robin of Medford, Laurie Egan and Ken Abbott of FL, Elise DiNocco and her husband Dan of Wakefield, Sheila Gardner and her husband Bud of PA, Karen Gear and her husband Bill of Melrose, Dianne Donnelly and her husband Mike of S. Lawrence. Martin was predeceased by his son James Conserva as well as his siblings Marion Doherty, Barbara, William, Charles and Michael Conserva. He leaves 18 loving grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Martin was the dear brother of Ralph Conserva of Tewksbury, Joe Conserva of CO and Johnny Conserva of Stoneham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, August 24th at
9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 23rd from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
