Robert Wayne Calhoun, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 20, 2015, Mr. Robert Wayne Calhoun, Sr., 74, husband of 53 years to Mrs. Margaret Calhoun.
Mr. Calhoun was a native of Mt. Vernon, GA but lived in the Augusta area since 1978. He worked at Plant Vogel but more recently at Fort Gordon until his retirement. Mr. Calhoun loved genealogy and co-authored many books. He volunteered at the cemetery and the library.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Robert W. Calhoun, Jr. and Kenneth W. Calhoun and wife Tabitha grandchildren: Brayden and Isabella Calhoun; sisters: Virginia and Mildred.
A funeral service will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel a Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. R. Frank Mullis officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery
