Leola D. Mercer, 97, of Ventura, passed away at her home
on Wednesday morning, August 19, 2014.
Mrs. Mercer was born April 27, 1918 in Curtis, Nebraska
and she was a Ventura resident for the past 35 years, com-
ing from North Hollywood.
She was a homemaker and she was an accounts manager for Bendex Aerospace for 10 years, and she was also
a real estate agent for 10 years. Leola was always active
and enjoyed art and oil painting, sewing, quilting, bowling,
playing cards, and in the kitchen she was a wonderful cook
and baker.
Leola is survived by her daughter and son in law Lynda
and Butch Muro, of Sylmar; grandchildren Nicole Hart-
man, Kevin Jensen, Michael Muro, Shelly Mullaney and her
husband Bob; great grandchildren Tyler Hartman, Nathan
Jensen, Terra Muro, Robert Mullaney, Richard Mullaney,
Emily Mullaney; great great grandchildren Daphne Muro
and Charlotte Muro.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Norwood
Jensen, second husband Raymond Mercer, and her son
Richard Jensen.
Her family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers

port.
Her family will have a private funeral service, followed by
