Henry W. Lundquist, age 85, of Middleboro went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 9, 2015. Henry was born, raised, and educated in Weymouth. After graduating Weymouth High School class of 1948 he joined the Air force and served four years in Germany during the Korean War. When he returned he married Betty M. (Hart), his wife of 57 years, whom he met at the First Baptist Church of Weymouth. Henry and Betty raised their family in Weymouth until moving to Middleboro in 2013. Henry worked for Johnson and Johnson in their Raynham Orthopedics Division as a facilities engineer/supervisor. Henry was very dedicated to his church and his family. He founded the Christian Service Brigade/Battalion and impacted the lives of many young people through its many gatherings and outings. Henry loved music, especially playing the piano with his family, and will always be remembered for his urge to help anyone in need.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Betty M. (Hart) Lundquist of Middleboro, his loving children David H. Lundquist and his wife Stacy of Taunton, Karen R. Michaelis and her husband Daniel of Middleboro, and Mark W. Lundquist and his wife Nancy of Rockland, his cherished grandchildren Ashley, Nathan, Joshua, Rian, Kiana, and the late Dennis. Henry was predeceased by his dedicated parents E. Henry W. Lundquist and Mabel B. (Tobey) Lundquist, and his brother Eric Lundquist. He will also be survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service for Henry at 10 AM on September 3, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Rockland Located at 200 Union St. Rockland, MA. Burial will be at MA National Cemetery Bourne and will be private. The family would prefer donations in Lieu of flowers go to the First Baptist Church of Rockland at the above mailing address.
