Vasco Lopes DaSilva (86) of Brockton died August 15th in his home under hospice care and surrounded by his family. He was the Husband of the late Eugenia Martin DaSilva.
He was born in Cova Rodela, Brava, Cape Verde son of the late Matias Antonio DaSilva and Elisa R. Lopes. He was in the home construction industry. Vasco enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends and was always seen walking.
Survivors include 3 daughters Isabel and Elisa Martins DaSilva both of Praia, Cape Verde and Victoria Martins DaSilva of Brockton with whom he made his home, 1 brother Rufino Lopes DaSilva of France, many grand and great grandchildren. Father of the late Jose and Antonio Martins DaSilva and Eugenia Martins DaSilva.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Wed. August 19th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation from 5-9 pm Tues. August 18th.
