Janis M (Gildea) McCabe, 67, formerly of Natick died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich CT.
Born in Cambridge and a longtime resident of Natick, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Marie F. (Kelley) Gildea.
Janis was an Administrator for the March of Dimes Association for many years, where she worked tirelessly for those less fortunate.
She attended College of New Rochelle and Katherine Gibbs School Boston
She was an avid reader, loved attending Patriots/Red Sox/Bruins and Celtics sporting events in younger days with her family and continued to support them throughout her life.
Janis enjoyed doing NY Times crossword puzzles, spending holidays with family and friends and keeping in touch on social media She is survived by her siblings, Karen Gildea of Harpers Ferry, WV, Kathleen Gildea Simmonds of Winston-Salem, NC, Gary Gildea and his wife Jennifer Smith Gildea of Barrington, RI
Joanne Gildea of Natick, MA, brother in law Donald Lebel of Westbrook ME, and 11 nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Nancy Gildea Lebel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday August 19 at 10:00 A.M. in St Linus Church 119 Hartford Street Natick.
Visiting hours on Tuesday August 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common.
